Rockfall Simulation in Japan
The purpose of the simulation is the same as CRSP.
Many falling rock tests to investigate the trajectory on slopes have been carried out in Japan.
Above all, the results tested by Japan Highway Public Corporation include the precise data and have high accuracy.

Randomly varied Parameters used in the program are:
  (1) Friction coefficient between at boudler and slops
  (2) Resistance coefficient at bounce in the air
  (3) Restitution coefficient at an impact points, and
  (5) Velocity transfered from sliding or rolling to bounce
The probability density of these parameters are obtained from the test resukts. Using these probability density function, the motion of a boulder can be determined.
